Mzee Earnsto Muyntcinga, from a small village in Tanzania, lives an astonishing life, where he is considered one of the most polygamous men in the world, having 16 wives and 104 children and 144 grandchildren.
Earnsto describes his home as like a small village, where each wife lives in her own house. The family generally manages its resources and strives to provide food, working diligently in the cultivation of rice, beans, cassava, and bananas, and trading in surplus produce.
On the other hand, Kabinga states that his role is quite simple in the family, attributing his success to the efforts of his wives who maintain family unity. He points out that the wives provide advice and solve daily problems with transparency.
At one stage, Kabinga had 20 wives, but due to deaths and departures, he is left with only 16. His wives indicate that their agreement on this arrangement stems from his reputation as a respected husband.
Earnsto received support from his father to increase the number of his wives, as he paid the necessary dowries for the seventh sister wives. Despite this large number, Kabinga claims that love and harmony prevail among the members of his large family, without any discord between the wives.
